Just Fancy
“Fancy”

Just Fancy is a sweet natured mare who is a willing worker and always wanting to please. She is very light on her feet. She is good on trail and can be ridden alone. She does have a quick walk! Bathes, clips, hauls and is wonderful for the vet and farrier. She can be de-wormed without a halter and is good for vaccinations. She has a very even temperament and gets along with both mares and geldings during turnout. Fancy has some low level dressage training and jumper training. She has competed in the 2’6″ jumpers and done VERY well! She adjusts well in the show environment and is not easily spooked in the ring. She is does not look or shy at fences and has seen a variety of different looking ones. Fancy is a very light mouthed ride and would not do well with a heavy-handed rider. She guides easily with the use of seat and legs and does not take a strong bit.

She has low miles as she gets every winter off from riding due to our farm not having access to an indoor riding arena. In 2019 we have not been able to ride much due to the very wet weather which has made even trail rides hard to accomplish. She would make someone a great project horse. With a little more time and polish she is sure to be a star at whatever she is asked to do. We think that she would excel in jumpers, fox-hunting and dressage. As she is an enthusiastic and scopey jumper she would not be as well suited to the hunter ring. We are selling due to lack of time for all of the horses that we currently have. Only good homes with adequate pasture will be considered. We believe that horses were meant to be out in fields and have time to stretch their legs as too much time standing in stalls is not good for the horse’s physical fitness nor their joints.

Please contact Ellen Allias regarding additional information or to set up a time to see Fancy. (412)915-7768. We encourage individuals to come to the farm and try her, however we will not consider any lease or trial options as there are too many risks for our horse.
